इति चिन्मन्युमध्रिजस्त्वादातमा पशुं ददे । आदग्ने अपृणतोऽत्रिः सासह्याद्दस्यूनिषः सासह्यान्नॄन् ॥
íti cit manyúm adhríjas tvā́dātam ā́ paśúṃ dade | ā́d agne ápṛṇato ’tríḥ sāsahyā́d dásyūn íṣaḥ sāsahyā́n nṝ́n ||
ഇങ്ങനെ അപ്രജ്വലിതൻ (അഥവാ അക്രമിതൻ) പോലും തന്റെ ക്രോധം വിട്ട്, നിനക്കാൽ ലഭിച്ച പശു-ശക്തി അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ, ഹേ അഗ്നേ, ദാനത്തിൽ അച്യുതനായ അത്രി ദസ്യുക്കളെ കീഴടക്കും; വർദ്ധനയുടെ നിഷഃ (പ്രേരണകൾ) നേടും; സത്യപുരുഷന്മാരെ (ദൃഢ ആത്മബലങ്ങളെ) നേടും.
