Sukta 5.32
त्यं चिदित्था कत्पयं शयानमसूर्ये तमसि वावृधानम् । तं चिन्मन्दानो वृषभः सुतस्योच्चैरिन्द्रो अपगूर्या जघान ॥
tyáṃ cid itthā́ katpáyaṃ śáyānam asū́rye támási vāvṛdhānám | táṃ cin mandānó vṛṣabháḥ sutásyóccair índro apágūryā jaghāna ||
അങ്ങനെ സൂര്യരഹിതമായ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽ കിടന്ന് അവിടെത്തന്നെ വളർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന കത്പയനെയും—പിഴിഞ്ഞ സോമത്തിൽ ഉല്ലസിച്ച വൃഷഭനായ ഇന്ദ്രൻ ഉയരത്തിൽ നിന്നു പ്രഹരിച്ചു, അവനെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് വധിച്ചു.
