Sukta 5.1
जनिष्ट हि जेन्यो अग्रे अह्नां हितो हितेष्वरुषो वनेषु । दमेदमे सप्त रत्ना दधानोऽग्निर्होता नि षसादा यजीयान् ॥
jániṣṭa hí jényo ágre áhnāṃ hitó hitéṣv aruṣó váneṣu | dámē-dame saptá rátnā dádhāno 'gnír hótā ní ṣasāda yajī́yān ||
കാരണം അവൻ ജനിക്കുന്നു—ജേന്യൻ, ആര്യൻ—ദിവസങ്ങളുടെ ആരംഭത്തിൽ; നിശ്ചിത സ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ സ്ഥാപിതനായി, വനങ്ങളിൽ അരുൺ (രക്തിമ) തേജസ്സോടെ. വീടുവീടായി ഏഴ് രത്നങ്ങൾ ധരിച്ച്, അഗ്നി ഹോതൃ—യജ്ഞത്തിന് അത്യന്തം യോഗ്യൻ—ഇരുന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
