Sukta 4.22
ता तू त इन्द्र महतो महानि विश्वेष्वित्सवनेषु प्रवाच्या । यच्छूर धृष्णो धृषता दधृष्वानहिं वज्रेण शवसाविवेषीः ॥
tā́ tū́ te indra maható mahā́ni víśveṣv ít sávanēṣu pra-vā́cyā | yác chū́ra dhṛṣṇó dhṛṣátā dadhṛṣvā́n áhīṃ vájreṇa śávasā́viveṣīḥ ||
ഇന്ദ്രാ, മഹാനായ നിന്റെ ഈ മഹാകൃത്യങ്ങൾ—എല്ലാ സവനങ്ങളിലും പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടവ. കാരണം, ശൂരാ, ധൃഷ്ണു, ധൃഷതാ ബലത്തോടെ പരമധൈര്യവാനായി, നീ നിന്റെ ശവസാൽ വജ്രംകൊണ്ട് അഹി (സർപ്പം)യെ പ്രഹരിച്ചു നശിപ്പിച്ചു.
