Sukta 2.23
न तमंहो न दुरितं कुतश्चन नारातयस्तितिरुर्न द्वयाविनः । विश्वा इदस्माद्ध्वरसो वि बाधसे यं सुगोपा रक्षसि ब्रह्मणस्पते ॥
ná tám áṃho ná duritáṃ kútaś caná nā́rātayas titirúr ná dvayā́vinaḥ | víśvā íd asmād dhvaráso ví bādhase yáṃ su-gopā́ rakṣasi brahmaṇas-pate ||
ഹേ ബ്രഹ്മണസ്പതേ! നീ സുഗോപനായി കാക്കുന്നവനെ ഏതൊരു ദിക്കിൽ നിന്നുമുള്ള അംഹഃ (ക്ലേശം)യും ദുരിതം (പാപ-അപശകുനം)യും, ശത്രുവായ ആക്രമകരും, ഇരട്ടമുഖന്മാരും (ദ്വയാവിനഃ) അതിക്രമിക്കുകയില്ല. അവന്റെ നേരെ വരുന്ന എല്ലാ വക്രഹിംസകളും ഉപദ്രവങ്ങളും നീ അകറ്റി തള്ളുന്നു—നീ നന്നായി സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്ന അവനെ, ഹേ വാക്കിന്റെ അധിപതേ.
