Sukta 10.48
अहमेताञ्छाश्वसतो द्वाद्वेन्द्रं ये वज्रं युधयेऽकृण्वत । आह्वयमानाँ अव हन्मनाहनं दृळ्हा वदन्ननमस्युर्नमस्विनः ॥
ahám etā́ñ chā́śvasato dvā́dvā índraṃ yé vájraṃ yudhā́ye ’kṛṇvata | ā́hvayamānāṃ áva hánmanā ahanaṃ dṛḷhā́ vádann ánamasyur namasvínaḥ ||
ഞാൻ ഈ ശാശ്വസതഃ (ദീർഘകാലം നിലനിൽക്കുന്ന)വരെ—രണ്ടു രണ്ടായി—തകർത്തു വീഴ്ത്തി; ഇന്ദ്രനോടു യുദ്ധത്തിനായി വജ്രത്തെ ആയുധമാക്കിയവർ അവർ. അവർ എന്നെ ആഹ്വയമാനാഃ (വിളിച്ചാലും), ഞാൻ അവരെ ഹന്മനാഹനം (ശക്തിയുടെ താടിയാൽ) അടിച്ചു വീഴ്ത്തി; ദൃഢാ വദൻ (ദൃഢമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്ന) നമസ്വിൻ (വണങ്ങുന്ന ഭക്തൻ) അനമസ്യു (അഹങ്കാരി)യോട് തലകുനിയുകയില്ല.
