Sukta 10.4
यं त्वा जनासो अभि संचरन्ति गाव उष्णमिव व्रजं यविष्ठ । दूतो देवानामसि मर्त्यानामन्तर्महाँश्चरसि रोचनेन ॥
yám tvā jánāso abhí saṁ-cáranti gā́va uṣṇám iva vrajáṁ yaviṣṭha | dū́to devā́nām asi mártyānām antár mahā́m̐ś cárasi rocanéna ||
ഹേ യവിഷ്ഠ (അഗ്നി), ജനങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ ചുറ്റി ഒന്നിക്കുന്നു—ചൂടുള്ള വ്രജം (ഗോശാല) തേടി പശുക്കൾ ഒന്നിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ. നീ മർത്ത്യർക്കായി ദേവന്മാരുടെ ദൂതൻ. അകത്ത് മഹാനായി, രോചന (പ്രകാശലോകം) വഴി സഞ്ചരിച്ച്, ലോകങ്ങളുടെ പ്രകാശം ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.
