वेषि होत्रमुत पोत्रं जनानां मन्धातासि द्रविणोदा ऋतावा । स्वाहा वयं कृणवामा हवींषि देवो देवान्यजत्वग्निरर्हन् ॥

Transliteration

véṣi hotrám utá potráṁ jánānāṁ mandhātā́si draviṇo-dā́ ṛtā́vā | svā́hā vayáṁ kṛṇávāmā havī́ṁṣi devó devā́ny ajatuvāgnír árhan ||

Translation

ജനങ്ങൾക്കായി നീ ഹോതൃസ്ഥാനവും പോതൃസ്ഥാനവും വഹിക്കുന്നു; നീ മന്ധാതാ (പ്രചോദിത ചിന്തകൻ), ദ്രവിണോദാ (സമൃദ്ധിദാതാവ്), ഋതാവാൻ (ഋതത്തിന്റെ പാലകൻ) ആകുന്നു. സ്വാഹാ എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ ഹവിസ്സുകൾ ഒരുക്കുന്നു; അർഹനായ ദൈവ അഗ്നി ദേവന്മാർക്കായി യജിക്കട്ടെ.
