प्र ससाहिषे पुरुहूत शत्रूञ्ज्येष्ठस्ते शुष्म इह रातिरस्तु । इन्द्रा भर दक्षिणेना वसूनि पतिः सिन्धूनामसि रेवतीनाम् ॥
prá sasāhiṣe puruhūta śátrūñ jyéṣṭhas te śúṣma ihá rātír astu | índrā bhara dákṣiṇenā vásūni pátiḥ síndhūnām asi revátīnām ||
ഹേ പുരുഹൂത ഇന്ദ്രാ! നീ ശത്രുക്കളെ മഹാബലത്തോടെ ജയിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ശുഷ്മം (വീര്യബലം) ഏറ്റവും ജ്യേഷ്ഠം—ഇവിടെ നിന്റെ ദാനം നിലനില്ക്കട്ടെ. ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ദക്ഷിണഹസ്തീയ ശക്തിയാൽ വസുക്കളെ (ധനം-സമ്പത്ത്) കൊണ്ടുവരിക; നീ റേവതീ (സമൃദ്ധിയുള്ള) സിന്ധുക്കളുടെ അധിപനാണ്.
