Sukta 10.180
मृगो न भीमः कुचरो गिरिष्ठाः परावत आ जगन्था परस्याः । सृकं संशाय पविमिन्द्र तिग्मं वि शत्रून्ताळ्हि वि मृधो नुदस्व ॥
mṛgó ná bhīmáḥ kucaráḥ giriṣṭhā́ḥ parāváta ā́ jaganthā́ párasyāḥ | sṛkáṃ saṃśā́ya pavím indra tigmáṃ ví śátrūn tāḷhi ví mṛ́dho nudasva ||
ഭീകരമായ മൃഗംപോലെ, പർവ്വതശിഖരങ്ങളിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവനായി, നീ പരാവത്—അത്യന്തം ദൂരദേശത്തിൽ നിന്ന്—ഇവിടെ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ജഡ്ബം (സൃകം) മൂർച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുക, പവിയെ (വജ്രത്തിന്റെ ധാരം) തീക്ഷ്ണമാക്കുക; ശത്രുക്കളെ പിരിച്ചടിക്കുക, മൃധങ്ങളെ (ആക്രമണങ്ങളെ) അകറ്റിത്തള്ളുക.
