यो न इन्द्राभितो जनो वृकायुरादिदेशति । अधस्पदं तमीं कृधि विबाधो असि सासहिर्नभन्तामन्यकेषां ज्याका अधि धन्वसु ॥

yó na indrābhíto jáno vṛkāyúr ādídeśati | adháspadaṃ tám īṃ kṛdhi vibā́dho asi sāsahír nábhantām anyakéṣāṃ jyā́kā ádhi dhánvasu ||

ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ! മനുഷ്യരിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും വൃകായുഃ—ചെന്നായയെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവൻ, കൊള്ളക്കാരൻ—എല്ലാ വശത്തുനിന്നും ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു വിരൽ ചൂണ്ടുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, അവനെ അധസ്പദത്തിലേക്ക് വീഴ്ത്തുക, താഴ്ന്ന നിലയിലാക്കുക. നീ വിബാധഃ—ദൃഢ പ്രതിഹർത്താവ്, സാസഹിഃ—അജേയ ദമനകൻ; മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ ധനുസ്സുകളിൽ ജ്യാകകൾ ശിഥിലമാകട്ടെ.
