यदयुक्था अरुषा रोहिता रथे वातजूता वृषभस्येव ते रवः । आदिन्वसि वनिनो धूमकेतुनाग्ने सख्ये मा रिषामा वयं तव ॥
yád áyukthā aruṣā́ róhitā ráthe vā́ta-jūtā vṛṣabhásyeva te rávaḥ | ā́d invasi vaníno dhūmá-ketunā́gne sakhyé mā́ riṣāmā vayáṃ táva ||
നീ അരുൺ, ചുവന്ന കുതിരകളെ രഥത്തിൽ കെട്ടിയപ്പോൾ—കാറ്റാൽ പ്രേരിതരായി—നിന്റെ ഗർജ്ജനം വൃഷഭത്തിന്റെതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ ധൂമധ്വജം (ധൂമകേതു) കൊണ്ട് നീ വനങ്ങളെ ചലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നിന്റെ സഖ്യത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഹാനി വരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ—നിന്റെ ആശ്രയത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ സുരക്ഷിതരായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
