Sukta 1.64
प्र नू स मर्तः शवसा जनाँ अति तस्थौ व ऊती मरुतो यमावत । अर्वद्भिर्वाजं भरते धना नृभिरापृच्छ्यं क्रतुमा क्षेति पुष्यति ॥
prá nū́ sá martáḥ śávasā jánā̃ áti tasthau va ūtī́ maruto yám ā́vat | árvadbhiḥ vā́jaṃ bharate dhánā nṛ́bhir ā́pṛcchyaṃ krátum ā́ kṣeti púṣyati ||
ഇപ്പോൾ ആ മർത്ത്യൻ തന്റെ ശൗര്യബലത്താൽ ജനസമൂഹത്തെ അതിക്രമിച്ച് മുന്നിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു—ഹേ മരുৎകളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഊതി (സഹായം) കൊണ്ടാണ് നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ താങ്ങുന്നത്. വേഗമുള്ള അശ്വങ്ങളോടെ അവൻ വാജം (വിജയബലം/അന്നസമ്പത്ത്)യും ധനവും കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; നരന്മാരുടെ ശക്തികളാൽ അവൻ ആലോചനയോഗ്യമായ ക്രതു (ദൃഢസങ്കൽപം/യോജനാശക്തി) നേടുന്നു; അവൻ വസിക്കുകയും ‘പുഷ്യതി’—വളരുകയും സമൃദ്ധനാകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
