अस्मा इदु त्यमुपमं स्वर्षां भराम्याङ्गूषमास्येन । मंहिष्ठमच्छोक्तिभिर्मतीनां सुवृक्तिभिः सूरिं वावृधध्यै ॥
asmā́ íd u tyám upa-máṃ svaḥ-sā́ṃ bhárāmy āṅgū́ṣam āsyèna | maṃhíṣṭham ácchoktibhir matīnā́ṃ suvṛ́ktibhiḥ sū́riṃ vāvṛ́dhadhyai ||
അവനോടേ ഞാൻ എന്റെ വായാൽ ഈ പ്രചോദിത സ്തുതിഗാനം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു—ദീപ്തമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തെ ജയിപ്പിക്കുന്ന, പരമവും അതുല്യവും ആയ ശക്തി. ചിന്തയുടെ തെളിഞ്ഞ ഉച്ചാരണങ്ങളാലും നന്നായി പിണഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകളാലും ഞാൻ സൂരി—വീരൻ ഇന്ദ്രനെ—വളർത്തുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ ഉള്ളിലെ നേതാവ് ബലത്തിൽ വർദ്ധിക്കട്ടെ.
