Sukta 1.33
वधीर्हि दस्युं धनिनं घनेनँ एकश्चरन्नुपशाकेभिरिन्द्र । धनोरधि विषुणक्ते व्यायन्नयज्वानः सनकाः प्रेतिमीयुः ॥
vadhī́r hí dasyúṃ dhanínaṃ ghanénaṁ ékaś cárann upaśākébhiḥ indra | dhánor ádhi viṣuṇákte vyā́yan áyajvānaḥ sanakā́ḥ prétiṃ īyuḥ ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്ര, നീ ധനിന ദസ്യുവിനെ ഘന (പ്രഹാരായുധം) കൊണ്ടു വധിച്ചു; ഒറ്റയ്ക്കു സഞ്ചരിച്ചും ഉപശാകങ്ങൾ (സഹായശക്തികൾ) കൂടെയുമായിരുന്നു. ധനുസ്സിൽ നിന്നു നീ മുന്നേറിക്കൊണ്ടു അവരെ ചിതറിച്ചു; അയ്യജ്വാൻ (യജ്ഞം ചെയ്യാത്ത) പുരാതനർ—സനകാഃ—നാശത്തിലേക്കു പോയി; അസത്യം യജ്ഞവിധി സ്വീകരിക്കാതിരുന്നപ്പോൾ, സത്യബലം സഹിക്കാനായില്ല.
