एवा नृभिरिन्द्रः सुश्रवस्या प्रखादः पृक्षो अभि मित्रिणो भूत् । समर्य इषः स्तवते विवाचि सत्राकरो यजमानस्य शंसः ॥

evā nṛ́bhir índraḥ suśravasyā́ prakhā́daḥ pṛ́kṣo abhí mitríṇo bhūt | samaryé íṣaḥ stavate vívāci satrā́karo yajamānasya śáṃsaḥ ||

ഇങ്ങനെ, മനുഷ്യനിലെ ശക്തികളോടൊപ്പം, ഇന്ദ്രൻ സുശ്രവസ്യ—ശ്രവണയോഗ്യമായ നല്ല കീർത്തിയും ദീപ്തമായ യശസ്സും—മുന്നോട്ട് തള്ളുന്ന ഭേദകനാകുന്നു; സൗഹൃദശക്തികളോടു മുഖാമുഖം വരുന്നു. സമരത്തിൽ ബലത്തിന്റെ പ്രേരണകൾ ബഹുവചനമായ വാണിയിൽ സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; യജമാനന്റെ ശംസ (സ്തുതി) സത്രാകാര—നേരായ, നിരന്തരധാര സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നവ—ആകുന്നു.
