Sukta 1.164
ये अर्वाञ्चस्ताँ उ पराच आहुर्ये पराञ्चस्ताँ उ अर्वाच आहुः । इन्द्रश्च या चक्रथुः सोम तानि धुरा न युक्ता रजसो वहन्ति ॥
yé arvā́ñcas tā́n u párācā āhur yé parā́ñcas tā́n u arvā́cā āhuḥ | índraś ca yā́ cakrathúḥ soma tā́ni dhurā́ na yuktā́ rájaso vahanti ||
അകത്തോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നവരെ അവർ പുറത്തോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞവരെന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു; പുറത്തോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നവരെ അവർ അകത്തോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞവരെന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഇന്ദ്രനും സോമനും നിർമ്മിച്ച ആ ക്രമീകരണങ്ങൾ—യോക്തരായ വഹകരെപ്പോലെ—തേജോമയമായ രജസ്സിന്റെ ഗതികളെ മുന്നോട്ടു വഹിക്കുന്നു.
