Sukta 8
सं ते॑ शी॒र्ष्णः क॒पाला॑नि॒ हृद॑यस्य च॒ यो वि॒धुः । उ॒द्यन्ना॑दित्य र॒श्मिभिः॑ शी॒र्ष्णो रोग॑मनीनशोऽङ्गभे॒दम॑शीशमः
sáṃ te śīrṣṇáḥ kapālā́ni hṛ́dayasya ca yó vidhúḥ | udyánn āditya raśmíbhíḥ śīrṣṇó rógam anīnaśo ’ṅgabhedám aśīśamaḥ ||
Together have thy skull-bones been set, and that which hath disordered the heart. Rising, O Āditya, with thy rays, from the head hast thou driven the disease away; the limb-rending pain have we made to subside.
നിന്റെ ശിരസ്സിലെ കപാലസ്ഥികൾ ഒന്നായി ശരിയായി ചേർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഹൃദയത്തെ അശാന്തമാക്കിയ ദോഷവും ശമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഉദയിക്കുന്നവനേ, ഹേ ആദിത്യാ, നിന്റെ കിരണങ്ങളോടെ—ശിരസ്സിൽ നിന്നുള്ള രോഗത്തെ നീ അകറ്റി; അവയവങ്ങളെ പിളർക്കുന്ന വേദനയെ ഞങ്ങൾ ശമിപ്പിച്ചു.
