नास्य॒ क्षेत्रे॑ पुष्क॒रिणी॒ नाण्डीकं॑ जायते॒ बिस॑म्। यस्मि॑न् रा॒ष्ट्रे नि॑रु॒ध्यते॑ ब्रह्मजा॒याचि॑त्त्या

IAST Transliteration

nā́sya kṣétré puṣkaríṇī ná āṇḍī́kaṃ jā́yate bísam | yásmin rā́ṣṭre nirudhýate brahma-jā́yā-cíttyā

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

In his domain no lotus-pond is found; no lotus-fibre is there brought forth—within that realm which is shut and held in durance by the intent that touches the Brahman’s wife.

Translation

അവന്റെ പ്രദേശത്ത് താമരക്കുളം കാണപ്പെടുന്നില്ല; താമരയുടെ ബിസം (നാരു) പോലും അവിടെ ജനിക്കുന്നില്ല—ബ്രഹ്മന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്ന (ബ്രഹ്മജായാ-ബന്ധമുള്ള) ചിത്ത്യാ/ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്താൽ ആ രാജ്യം അടച്ചു തടഞ്ഞ് തടവിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നിടത്ത്.
