Sukta 11
ná tvád anyáḥ kavítaro ná medháyā dhī́rataro varuṇa svadhāvan | tváṃ tā́ víśvā bhúvanāni véttha sá cid nú tváj-jano māyī́ bibhāya ||
None other than thee is more a seer, nor by intelligence more steadfast, O Varuṇa, rich in native might. Thou knowest all those worlds; and even the man of thine, a worker of illusion, is afraid.
Rishi: Traditionally attributed within Varuṇa-hymn strata to an Atharvanic seer (exact assignment varies in anukramaṇī traditions).
Devata: Varuṇa
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (as transmitted; metrical exactness may vary with Atharvanic text-forms).
Primary: adbhuta
Secondary: bhayankara
