ये॒३ऽन्तरि॑क्षा॒ज्जुह्व॑ति जातवेदो व्य॒ध्वाया॑ दि॒शोऽभि॒दास॑न्त्य॒स्मान्। वा॒युमृ॒त्वा ते परा॑ञ्चो व्यथन्तां प्र॒त्यगे॑नान् प्रतिस॒रेण॑ हन्मि

IAST Transliteration

yé ’ntárikṣāj juhváti jātávedo vyadhvā́yā diśó ’bhidā́santy asmā́n | vāyúm ṛtvā́ té parā́ñco vyathantāṃ pratyagé́nān pratisaréṇa hanmi

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Whoso from the mid-air maketh offering, O Jātavedas,—the wandering regions assail us: taking Wind for the effective stay, let them, turned away, be shaken; with the returning counter-force, with the Pratisara, I smite them down.

Translation

ഹേ ജാതവേദസ്! അന്തരീക്ഷത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഹോമം ചെയ്യുന്നവനാൽ അലഞ്ഞുതിരിയുന്ന ദിക്കുകൾ ഞങ്ങളെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നു. വായുവിനെ ‘ഋത്വാ’ (ഫലപ്രദമായ ആധാരം/ആശ്രയം) ആക്കി, അവർ പരാഞ്ചർ (ഞങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു തിരിഞ്ഞവർ) ആയി വിറച്ച് അകന്നുപോകട്ടെ; പ്രത്യഗേന (തിരിച്ചു വരുന്ന പ്രതിബലം)യും പ്രതിസര (പ്രതിസര)വും കൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അവരെ അടിച്ചമർത്തുന്നു.
