Soma Pavamāna
This Pavamāna Soma hymn praises the purifying Soma as he is pressed and filtered, asking him to conquer repeatedly, win great fame, and transform the worshippers into a better, more luminous condition. The refrain “athā no vasyasas kṛdhi” frames each petition: long life and vision of the Sun, radiant wealth, and sustaining prosperity through Soma’s will and aid.

सना च सोम जेषि च पवमान महि श्रवः । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
हे सोम, बार-बार हमारे लिए जीत ले। तू जो साफ करता है, बड़ी बड़ाई पा। हमें बेहतर बना दे, चमकदार और खुश।

सना ज्योतिः सना स्वर्विश्वा च सोम सौभगा । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
सदा रोशनी है, सदा सूरज की दुनिया है। सोम, सब खुशियाँ तुझसे ही हैं। अब हमें बेहतर बना दे।

सना दक्षमुत क्रतुमप सोम मृधो जहि । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
हमेशा हम में दम रखो और सही इरादा। सोम, दुश्मनी और तकलीफ भगा दे। फिर हमें बेहतर बना दे।
Mantra 4
पवीतारः पुनीतन सोममिन्द्राय पातवे । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
जो साफ करते हैं, सोम को साफ करो। इंद्र पिएगा इसको। फिर हमें बेहतर बना दो, जो ठीक से चले।

त्वं सूर्ये न आ भज तव क्रत्वा तवोतिभिः । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
हे सोम, हमें सूर्य के साथ जुड़ा दे। अपनी शक्ति और सहयोग से यह काम कर। फिर हमें बेहतर बना दे।

तव क्रत्वा तवोतिभिर्ज्योक्पश्येम सूर्यम् । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
अपनी शक्ति और मदद से हमें लंबा तक सूर्य दिखने दे। फिर हमें आगे बढ़ा के बेहतर बना दे।

अभ्यर्ष स्वायुध सोम द्विबर्हसं रयिम् । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
सोम, हमारे पास आ। तू अपने आप में स्ट्रॉन्ग है। दोहरा ताकत वाली धन ला। फिर हमें बेहतर बना दे।

अभ्यर्षानपच्युतो रयिं समत्सु सासहिः । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
हमारे पास आ, तू कभी नहीं गिरता। लड़ाई में जीतने वाली धन ला। फिर हमें बेहतर बना दे।

त्वां यज्ञैरवीवृधन्पवमान विधर्मणि । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
लोगों ने यज्ञ करके तुझे बढ़ाया है, पवित्र सोम। धरम के काम में तुझे प्लेस दी। फिर हमें बेहतर बना दे।

रयिं नश्चित्रमश्विनमिन्दो विश्वायुमा भर । अथा नो वस्यसस्कृधि ॥
हे इंदु, हमे ऐसा धन दे जो चमकता है। वो धन जल्दी आए और हमे ज़िन्दगी भर काम आए। फिर हमे ऐसे बना दे कि हम और भी आगे बढ़ जाएँ।
