This short Triṣṭubh hymn praises the Ṛbhus as divine artisan-powers who “fashion” perfected forms—Indra’s chariot and horses, renewed youth, and a restored harmony of life. It turns their mythic craftsmanship into a prayer: may they shape for the worshipper sāti (winning attainment), victory in conflict, and steady protection, affirmed by wider cosmic guardians like Mitra–Varuṇa, Aditi, Earth, and Heaven.

Mantra 1
तक्षन्रथं सुवृतं विद्मनापसस्तक्षन्हरी इन्द्रवाहा वृषण्वसू । तक्षन्पितृभ्यामृभवो युवद्वयस्तक्षन्वत्साय मातरं सचाभुवम् ॥
रिभु लोगों ने अपनी समझ से एक अच्छी रथ बनाई। उसके लिए दो घोडे बनाए जो इंद्र की सवारी करते थे। उन्होंने दो बुढे माँ-बाप को जवान बना दिया। माँ को उसके बछडे के साथ फिर से जोड दिया।

आ नो यज्ञाय तक्षत ऋभुमद्वयः क्रत्वे दक्षाय सुप्रजावतीमिषम् । यथा क्षयाम सर्ववीरया विशा तन्नः शर्धाय धासथा स्विन्द्रियम् ॥
रिभु देवता, हमें यज्ञ के लिए ताकत बना दो। जो हमारी इच्छा और दिमाग का काम करे। ऐसी शक्ति जो अच्छे फल दे। ताकि हम बहादुर लोगों के साथ रह सकें। हमारी टीम में मज़बूत ताकत डाल दो।

आ तक्षत सातिमस्मभ्यमृभवः सातिं रथाय सातिमर्वते नरः । सातिं नो जैत्रीं सं महेत विश्वहा जामिमजामिं पृतनासु सक्षणिम् ॥
रिभु देवता, हमें जीतने वाली शक्ति बना दो। जो हमारे रथ और घोड़े दोनों का काम करे। यह जीतने वाली ताकत हमेशा हमारे साथ रहे। लड़ाई में काम आए, पास वाले और दूर वाले दुश्मन दोनों पर जीते।

ऋभुक्षणमिन्द्रमा हुव ऊतय ऋभून्वाजान्मरुतः सोमपीतये । उभा मित्रावरुणा नूनमश्विना ते नो हिन्वन्तु सातये धिये जिषे ॥
मैं इंद्र को बुलाता हूँ, जो रिभु का गुरु है, मदद के लिए। रिभु देवता, वज और मरुत सब को सोम पीने के लिए बुलाता हूँ। मित्र, वरुण और अश्विन दोनों भी हमारी मदद करें। हमें जीतने वाली बुद्धि दे, जो सब पर जीते।

ऋभुर्भराय सं शिशातु सातिं समर्यजिद्वाजो अस्माँ अविष्टु । तन्नो मित्रो वरुणो मामहन्तामदितिः सिन्धुः पृथिवी उत द्यौः ॥
रिभु हमारे काम को सही कर दे, ताकि हम आगे बढ़ सकें। वज जो लड़ाई में जीता है, हमारी रक्षा करे। मित्र और वरुण हमारे लिए यह बढ़ा दे। अदिति, सिंधु नदी, धरती और आसमान सब हमारे साथ हों।
