Sukta 8.21
जयेम कारे पुरुहूत कारिणोऽभि तिष्ठेम दूढ्यः । नृभिर्वृत्रं हन्याम शूशुयाम चावेरिन्द्र प्र णो धियः ॥
jáyema kāré puruhūta kāríṇo’bhí tíṣṭhema dūḍhyàḥ | nṛ́bhir vṛtráṃ hányāma śūśuyā́ma cā́ver índra prá no dhíyaḥ ||
હે પુરુહૂત, કાર્યમાં અમે જીતીએ; અમારા વિરુદ્ધ કાર્ય કરનારાઓ પર વિજય મેળવો. દબાયેલા કઠિન સંકટો પર અમે ઊભા રહીએ. નરબળોથી આંતરિક વૃત્રને અમે હણીએ; અને તે કરવા ઇચ્છામાં અમે પ્રજ્વલિત રહીએ. હે ઇન્દ્ર, અમારી ધિયઃ (પ્રેરિત વિચારો) આગળ ધપાવ.
