Sukta 2.39
ग्रावाणेव तदिदर्थं जरेथे गृध्रेव वृक्षं निधिमन्तमच्छ । ब्रह्माणेव विदथ उक्थशासा दूतेव हव्या जन्या पुरुत्रा ॥
grā́vāṇeva tád id árthaṃ jarethe gṛ́dhreva vṛkṣáṃ nidhí-mantam áccha | brahmā́ṇeva vidátha uktha-śā́sā dū́teva havyā́ janyā́ puru-trā́ ||
Como piedras de prensar, vosotros dos estáis puestos al verdadero fin; como buscadores ávidos, venís al árbol cargado de tesoro. Como sacerdotes, os movéis en las asambleas, mandando con el himno; como mensajeros, lleváis las ofrendas de los hombres en muchas direcciones.
