Sukta 2.23
त्वं नो गोपाः पथिकृद्विचक्षणस्तव व्रताय मतिभिर्जरामहे । बृहस्पते यो नो अभि ह्वरो दधे स्वा तं मर्मर्तु दुच्छुना हरस्वती ॥
tváṃ no gopā́ḥ pathi-kṛ́d vi-cakṣaṇas táva vratā́ya matí-bhir jarāmahe | bṛ́haspate yó no abhí hvøró dadhé svā́ táṃ marmartu ducchúnā hárasvatī ||
ท่านคือผู้พิทักษ์ของเรา ผู้สร้างหนทาง ผู้มองเห็นแจ่มชัด; ด้วยความคิดภาวนาของเรา เราปรารถนาจะเติบโตเข้าสู่พรต/วรตะ (vrata) อันเป็นกฎแห่งการกระทำของท่าน โอ พฤหสปติ (Bṛhaspati) ผู้ใดตั้งโทษภัยอันคดเคี้ยวต่อเรา—ขอให้พลังของท่านเองบดขยี้เขาด้วยความชั่วร้ายอันร้ายแรง โอ หรัสวตี (Harasvatī)
