Sukta 1.40
त्वामिद्धि सहसस्पुत्र मर्त्य उपब्रूते धने हिते । सुवीर्यं मरुत आ स्वश्व्यं दधीत यो व आचके ॥
tvā́m íd dhi sáhasas-putra mártya upabrūté dháne hité | su-vī́ryaṃ maruta ā́ svaśvyaṃ dádhīta yó va ācaké ||
เพราะแท้จริงคือท่าน โอ บุตรแห่งพลัง ผู้ซึ่งมนุษย์วอนขอเมื่อมุ่งหมายจะได้ทรัพย์ โอ มรุต ผู้ใดเข้ามาหาท่านทั้งหลาย ย่อมสั่งสมไว้ในตนพลังวีรบุรุษ และความชำนาญอันถูกต้องในการครอบครองม้า—พลังงานที่ฝึกปรือเพื่อการเดินทาง
