वीरस्य रथः। वन॑स्पते वी॒ड्वऽङ्गो॒ हि भू॒या अ॒स्मत्स॑खा प्र॒तर॑णः सु॒वीरः॑ । गोभिः॒ संन॑द्धो असि वी॒डय॑स्वास्था॒ता ते॑ जयतु॒ जेत्वा॑नि
వీరుని రథం. ఓ వనస్పతే (అరణ్యాధిపతి), నీవు దృఢాంగుడవై ఉండుగాక—మా సఖుడు, ముందుకు దూసుకుపోయేవాడు, సు-వీరుడు (వీరులతో సమృద్ధుడు). గోవులతో నీవు బాగా బంధింపబడి, జూదబడి ఉన్నావు; బలంగా నిలువు. నిన్ను అధిరోహించేవాడు జయించుగాక, గెలుపు-లాభాలను కూడా గెలుచుకొనుగాక.

యజమానా! హవిసుతో రథాన్ని—ఇంద్రుని వజ్రాన్ని—యజించు: అది ద్యౌ-పృథివుల నుండి ఉద్భవించిన పరాక్రమం; వనస్పతుల (అరణ్యాధిపతుల) నుండి చుట్టూరా సమీకరించిన బలం; అలాగే అపః (జల) యొక్క సంపూర్ణ ఓజస్సు—గోవులచే పరివృతమై, ఆవరించబడినది.
