এই সংক্ষিপ্ত যুদ্ধ–সমৃদ্ধির সূক্তে যোদ্ধার রথকে অভিষিক্ত ও পবিত্র করা হয়। বনস্পতি (কাষ্ঠ/বৃক্ষের অধিপতি)কে আহ্বান করে রথের কাঠকে দেবশক্তিতে সংযুক্ত করা হয় এবং রথকে ইন্দ্রের বজ্রসদৃশ বলের সঙ্গে একাত্ম রূপে চিহ্নিত করা হয়। মন্ত্রগুলি কাঠ, গোধন-শক্তি, জল-উদ্যম এবং দিব্য যুদ্ধবলকে একসূত্রে বেঁধে দেয়, যাতে আরূঢ় যোদ্ধা বিজয় ও ‘লাভ/লুণ্ঠন’ অর্জন করে এবং বাহনটি দৃঢ়, সুরক্ষিত ও কার্যকর থাকে।

বীরের রথ। হে বনস্পত (বনের অধিপতি), তুমি দৃঢ় অঙ্গবিশিষ্ট হও—আমাদের সখা, অগ্রগামী, সু-বীর (বীরসমৃদ্ধ)। গাভী দ্বারা তুমি সুদৃঢ়ভাবে বাঁধা ও জোতা; শক্ত হও। যে তোমার উপর আরূঢ় হয়, সে জয় করুক এবং জিতলাভও অর্জন করুক।

হে যজমান! হবি দ্বারা রথ—ইন্দ্রের বজ্র—এর পূজা করো: যা দ্যৌ ও পৃথিবী থেকে উদ্ভূত পরাক্রম; যা বনস্পতিদের (বন-স্বামীদের) কাছ থেকে চারদিকে থেকে সংগৃহীত শক্তি; আর যা অপ্ (জল)-এর পূর্ণ ওজ—গাভীদের দ্বারা পরিবৃত, আচ্ছাদিত।
