जाया तप्यते कितवस्य हीना माता पुत्रस्य चरतः क्व स्वित् । ऋणावा बिभ्यद्धनमिच्छमानोऽन्येषामस्तमुप नक्तमेति ॥
Transliteration
jāyā́ tapyate kitavásya hīnā́ mātā́ putrásya cárataḥ kva svit | ṛṇāvā́ bíbhyad dhánam icchámāno 'nyéṣām ástam úpa náktam eti ||
Translation
कितवस्य जाया हीना तप्यते; माता पुत्रस्य चरतोऽपि—“क्व स्वित्?” इति चिन्तयति। ऋणावा बिभ्यत्, धनमिच्छमानः, स नक्तं अन्येषाम् अस्तम् उपैति—आश्रयं मृगयन्, स्वसत्यं परित्यजन्।
