This (Viswamitra) is an embodiment of righteousness and unsurpassed among the powerful. None can excel him in intellect in this world. He is the supreme refuge inausterity.
True supremacy is measured by dharma, intellect, and tapas, not merely by worldly power.
Contemplation on dharma as embodied conduct; tapas and buddhi as supports for disciplined practice.
Embodied dharma suggests the jīvanmukta ideal where inner realization expresses as outer righteousness and strength.
Tapas as a means to brahma-vidyā (tapasā brahma vijijñāsasva motif) and as āśraya (refuge) for seekers.
Mahābhārata: praise of tapas and dharma as supreme strength (general parallels in śānti/anuśāsana themes); Rāmacaritamānasa Bālakāṇḍa: Viśvāmitra’s grandeur and tapas described
Vedic/Brāhmaṇa valuation of tapas as source of siddhi and authority
Bālakāṇḍa: Viśvāmitra’s tapas narrative leading to brahmarṣitva
Anuṣṭup
Solemn
Steady udātta emphasis on "dharma" "vīryavatāṃ" "tapas"
True authority is grounded in dharma and tapas: spiritual integrity and disciplined austerity create moral power that even kings should respect.
Daśaratha is being reminded of Viśvāmitra’s extraordinary stature so that the king will not resist the sage’s request regarding Rāma.
Viśvāmitra’s righteous strength—wisdom, self-control, and ascetic accomplishment as the basis of leadership.
