अथर्ववेदस्य ६.२३ सूक्तं संक्षिप्तं भैषज्य-मन्त्रः, यत्र दिव्याः आपः नित्योपलभ्यं भेषजं इव आहूयन्ते—दिवा नक्तं च प्रवहन्त्यः—याः शोधनं शीतलीकरणं च कुर्वन्त्यः पुनरुत्थापनं च साधयन्ति। अत्र आपः केवलं द्रव्यं न, किन्तु विधिना ‘तन्तुषु निबद्धा’ इव शक्तिः; सा सद्य एव व्यथां मुञ्चति, रोगं च निष्कासयति। अन्ते सवितुः पवित्रेण प्रेरणया कर्म समर्प्यते, यथा आपश्च ओषधयश्च कल्याणकारिण्यः स्युः, क्षेमाय च।

अपां भैषज्यम्। स॒स्रुषी॒स्तद॒पसो॒ दिवा॒ नक्तं॑ च स॒स्रुषीः॑ । वरे॑ण्यक्रतुर॒हम॒पो दे॒वीरुप॑ ह्वये
अपां भैषज्यम्। सस्रुषीस्तदपसो दिवा नक्तं च सस्रुषीः। वरेण्यक्रतुरहमपो देवीरुप ह्वये॥
Mantra 2
ओता॒ आपः॑ कर्म॒ण्याऽमु॒ञ्चन्त्वि॒तः प्रणी॑तये । स॒द्यः कृ॑ण्व॒न्त्वेत॑वे
ओता आपः कर्मण्याऽमुञ्चन्त्वितः प्रणीते। सद्यः कृण्वन्त्वेतवे॥
Mantra 3
दे॒वस्य॑ सवि॒तुः स॒वे कर्म॑ कृण्वन्तु॒ मानु॑षाः । शं नो॑ भवन्त्व॒प ओष॑धीः शि॒वाः
देवस्य सवितुः सवे मानुषाः कर्म कृण्वन्तु। अपः ओषधीश्च नः शं भवन्तु—शिवाः।
It calls the divine Waters as a healing remedy and asks them to release and drive away illness or harmful influence immediately, bringing welfare through water and herbs.
To stress that the Waters’ healing availability is continuous—effective at any time, not limited to a particular hour or occasion.
Savitar authorizes and impels the correct performance of the rite, and the herbs (oṣadhīs) are invoked alongside the Waters so that both act benignly and support complete well-being.
