अथर्ववेदस्य ६.१०० सूक्तं संक्षिप्तं विषहरण-मन्त्ररूपं यत् ‘विषदूषण’ इति विषनाशक-शक्तिं परमेषु विश्वदातृषु सूर्ये द्यौः पृथिव्यां च सरस्वतीषु त्रिषु च निहितां दैवीम् अनुगृह्णाति। सूर्यं द्यावापृथिवीम् त्रिसरस्वतीश्च आहूय सूक्तं जलं च विषदूषण-द्रव्यं च देवप्रमाणीकृतं प्रतिशक्तिं करोति, यया विषस्य रसः (तीव्रता) शुष्यति, पीडितस्य च अभय-स्वास्थ्ये पुनः प्रतिष्ठेते।

विषदूषणं देवा अदुः; सूर्यो अदात्; द्यौरदात्; पृथिव्यदात्। तिस्रः सरस्वत्यः सचित्ता विषदूषणम् अदुः।

यद् वो देवा उपजीकाः आसिञ्चन् धन्वनि उदकम्, तेन देवप्रसूतेन इदं विषं दूषयत निरर्थकं च कुरुत।

असुराणां दुहितासि; सा देवानामसि स्वसा। दिवः पृथिव्याः संभूता त्वं विषम् अरसं चकार—बलहीनं निरर्थकं च।
