अयं संक्षिप्तः त्रिष्टुभः इन्द्रसूक्तः (ऋग्वेदात् आथर्वणे विंशतितमे काण्डे नीतः) द्विधा बलं संहिनस्ति—प्रथमं इन्द्रस्य मुख्यतमं ओजः तथा समाजे प्रसारितं श्रवः (कीर्तिः-यशः) याचते; द्वितीयं च शत्रून् मर्दयन् जयम् आह्वयति। एतत् सूक्तं समृद्धि-राज्यलक्ष्मी-संवर्धनाय संक्षिप्तं मन्त्ररूपं, यत्र कीर्तिः च रणसिद्धिः च परस्परं देवपूर्णत्वस्य रूपेण वर्धयतः।

इन्द्र॒ ज्येष्ठं॑ न आ भ॑रं॒ ओजि॑ष्ठं॒ पपु॑रि॒ श्रवः॑ । येने॒मे चि॑त्र वज्रहस्त॒ रोद॑सी॒ ओभे सु॑शिप्र॒ प्राः
इन्द्र ज्येष्ठं न आ भर, ओजिष्ठं पपुर्वत् श्रवः। येनेमे चित्र वज्रहस्त सुशिप्र, रोदसी उभे प्राः।
Mantra 2
त्वामु॒ग्रमव॑से चर्षणी॒सहं॒ राज॑न् दे॒वेषु॑ हूमहे । विश्वा॒ सु नो॑ विथु॒रा पि॑ब्द॒ना व॑सो॒ऽमित्रा॑न् सु॒षहा॑न् कृधि
त्वामुग्रमवसे चर्षणीसहं राजन् देवेषु हूमहे। विश्वाः सु नो विथुरा पिब्दना वसोऽमित्रान् सुषहान् कृधि।
It asks for the highest ojas (power, vigor) and abundant śravas (effective fame), and then for Indra’s help in crushing obstacles and making enemies easy to overcome.
Both: it is primarily paustika (prosperity/prestige) because it seeks ojas and fame, but it also has a clear victory-subduing (abhicārika) edge in the second mantra.
