दि॒वस्पृ॒ष्ठे धाव॑मानं सुप॒र्णमदि॑त्याः पु॒त्रं ना॒थका॑म॒ उप॑ यामि भी॒तः । स नः॑ सूर्य॒ प्र ति॑र दी॒र्घमायु॒र्मा रि॑षाम सुम॒तौ ते॑ स्याम
divás-pṛṣṭhé dhā́vamānaṃ supárṇam áditiyāḥ putráṃ nā́thakā́ma úpa yāmi bhītáḥ | sá naḥ sū́rya prá tirā dīrghám ā́yur mā́ riṣāma sumatáu te syāma
On heaven’s back I seek, in fear, the swift-flying fair-wing, Aditi’s son, desiring a guardian. Do thou, O Sun, bear forth for us long life; let us not suffer harm: may we be in thy gracious favour.
दिवः पृष्ठे धावमानं सुपर्णम् अदितेः पुत्रं नाथकामः उपयामि भीतः। स नः सूर्य प्र तिर दीर्घम् आयुः; मा रिशाम; सुमतौ ते स्याम।
