The Sanctity of the Kṛṣṇagaṅgā Pilgrimage-Ford and the Account of the Brahmin Vasu’s Daughter
ध्यात्वा मनसि गङ्गां तां कालिन्दीं पापहारिणीम् ॥ नित्यं च कर्म कुरुते तत्र तीर्थजलाप्लुतिम् ॥
dhyātvā manasi gaṅgāṁ tāṁ kālindīṁ pāpahāriṇīm || nityaṁ ca karma kurute tatra tīrthajalāplutim ||
Rozmyślając w swoim umyśle o tej Gandze, mianowicie Kalindi, usuwającej przewinienia, regularnie wykonuje tam obrzędy, włączając zanurzenie w wodach tirthy.
Varāha (continued narration)
It records a standard Purāṇic pattern: mental recollection (dhyāna) paired with embodied practice (snāna/āpluti), reflecting how ritual and landscape were integrated.
Kālindī (a well-known name of the Yamunā) is referenced; the verse situates practice at a tīrtha associated with that river.
Regularity and intentionality in practice: daily discipline is paired with mindful recollection rather than mere external performance.
