ଏହି ସଂକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ଆଥର୍ବଣିକ ପ୍ରେମ-ମନ୍ତ୍ର ସୂକ୍ତ କାମ (ଇଚ୍ଛା/ଆକାଙ୍କ୍ଷା)କୁ ବନ୍ଧନକାରୀ ଶକ୍ତି ଭାବେ ଧରି ଆଲିଙ୍ଗନ, ଆସକ୍ତି ଓ ଅପସରଣ-ନିବାରଣ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରେ। ତିନିଟି ସଜୀବ ଉପମା—ଲତାର ଗଛକୁ ଜଡି ଧରିବା, ପକ୍ଷୀର ଭୂମିରେ ଆଘାତ କରି ପଡିବା, ଏବଂ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟର ସବୁକୁ ଆବର୍ତ୍ତିତ କରୁଥିବା ପରିକ୍ରମା—ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଏହା ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟବ୍ୟକ୍ତିର ମନ (ମନସ)କୁ ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ସହ ରିତୁଆଳ ଭାବେ ‘ବାନ୍ଧି’ ଦିଏ ଏବଂ ବିଚ୍ଛେଦକୁ ରୋକେ।
Mantra 1
कामात्मा यथा॑ वृ॒क्षं लिबु॑जा सम॒न्तं प॑रिषस्व॒जे। ए॒वा परि॑ ष्वजस्व॒ मां यथा॒ मां का॒मिन्यसो॒ यथा॒ मन्नाप॑गा॒ असः॑
ଯେପରି କାମାତ୍ମା ଲିବୁଜା ଲତା ଗଛକୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଦିଗରୁ ଆଲିଙ୍ଗନ କରେ, ସେପରି ତୁମେ ମୋତେ ଚାରିପାଖରୁ ଆଲିଙ୍ଗନ କର—ଯେପରି କାମିନୀମାନେ ମୋର ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ଏବଂ ମୋଠାରୁ ଦୂରେ ନଯାଆନ୍ତୁ।

यथा॑ सुप॒र्णः प्र॒पत॑न् प॒क्षौ नि॒हन्ति॒ भूम्या॑म्। ए॒वा नि ह॑न्मि ते॒ मनो॒ यथा॒ मां का॒मिन्यसो॒ यथा॒ मन्नाप॑गा॒ असः॑
ଯେପରି ସୁପର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପକ୍ଷୀ ଝପଟି ଆସି ଭୂମିରେ ନିଜ ପକ୍ଷ ଆଘାତ କରେ, ସେପରି ମୁଁ ତୁମ ମନକୁ ଦମନ କରୁଛି—ଯେପରି କାମିନୀମାନେ ମୋର ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ଏବଂ ମୋଠାରୁ ଦୂରେ ନଯାଆନ୍ତୁ।

ଯେପରି ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ତତ୍କ୍ଷଣାତ୍ ଏହି ଦ୍ୟାବା-ପୃଥିବୀ (ଆକାଶ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀ)କୁ ପରିଭ୍ରମଣ କରେ, ସେପରି ମୁଁ ତୋର ମନକୁ ସବୁଦିଗରୁ ଘେରି ଧରୁଛି—ଯେପରି କାମିନୀ ଯୁବତୀମାନେ ମୋର ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ମୋଠାରୁ ଦୂରେ ଚାଲିନଯାଆନ୍ତୁ।
It is a traditional vaśīkaraṇa (attraction/subjugation) charm aimed at producing embrace and attachment, and at preventing the desired person from leaving.
They are ‘models’ of irresistible action: the creeper clings, the bird forcefully strikes down, and the sun inevitably encircles—each image is used to bind and control the target’s mind and presence.
Only 6.8.1 explicitly mentions libujā, a clinging creeper/vine. In practice it functions as a symbolic support for the mantra’s ‘embracing’ effect; the other verses work through gesture and focused recitation.
