Discrimination of the Three Bodies and the Dharaṇī Vow: A Manual for Dvādaśī Observance
ततो ब्रह्मोपसंहारे तल्लयं तिष्ठते चिरम् । पुनः सृष्टौ भवेद् देवो वैराजानां महातपाः ॥ ३९.६६ ॥
tato brahmopasaṁhāre tallayaṁ tiṣṭhate ciram | punaḥ sṛṣṭau bhaved devo vairājānāṁ mahātapāḥ || 39.66 ||
Kemudian, pada saat pralaya yang memuncak dengan penarikan diri Brahmā, baginda tinggal lama dalam keadaan lebur-samadhi itu. Apabila tiba masa penciptaan semula, dewa itu—agung dalam tapa—lahir kembali dalam kalangan Virāja.
