ब्रह्मा उवाच । अयं मे प्रथमः पुत्रः पीडितः शशिना भृशम् । पत्नीं जिघृक्षता भ्रातुर्धर्मसंज्ञो महामुनिः ॥ ३२.१७ ॥
brahmā uvāca | ayaṃ me prathamaḥ putraḥ pīḍitaḥ śaśinā bhṛśam | patnīṃ jighṛkṣatā bhrātur dharmasaṃjño mahāmuniḥ || 32.17 ||
ബ്രഹ്മാവ് പറഞ്ഞു—ഇവൻ എന്റെ ആദ്യപുത്രൻ, ‘ധർമ്മ’ എന്ന മഹാമുനി. സഹോദരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പിടിച്ചെടുക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച ശശി (ചന്ദ്രൻ) അവനെ അത്യന്തം പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു।
