दक्षिणावर्तशङ्खेन कृत्वा चैव करे जलम् ॥ शिरसा तद्गृहीत्वा तु विप्रो हृष्टमनाः शुचिः ॥

dakṣiṇāvartaśaṅkhena kṛtvā caiva kare jalam || śirasā tadgṛhītvā tu vipro hṛṣṭamanāḥ śuciḥ

ദക്ഷിണാവർത്ത ശംഖംകൊണ്ട് കൈയിൽ ജലം എടുത്ത്, അത് ശിരസ്സിൽ സ്വീകരിച്ച്, ശുചിയും ഹൃഷ്ടമനസ്സുമായ വിപ്രൻ (ആ കർമ്മം) നിർവഹിക്കുന്നു।
