पवित्रं च पवित्राणां पुष्टीनां पुष्टिरेव च ॥ तस्मात्पुरस्तु दातव्यं गवां वै मेध्यकारणात् ॥
pavitraṃ ca pavitrāṇāṃ puṣṭīnāṃ puṣṭir eva ca || tasmāt puras tu dātavyaṃ gavāṃ vai medhyakāraṇāt ||
ഇത് പവിത്രങ്ങളിൽ പരമപവിത്രവും, പോഷകങ്ങളിൽ യഥാർത്ഥ പോഷണവുമാണ്. അതിനാൽ യാജ്ഞിക ശുദ്ധിയുടെ കാരണമായി വിധിപൂർവ്വം മുൻവശത്ത് ഗോദാനം നൽകണം।
