Sukta 9.97
अध धारया मध्वा पृचानस्तिरो रोम पवते अद्रिदुग्धः । इन्दुरिन्द्रस्य सख्यं जुषाणो देवो देवस्य मत्सरो मदाय ॥
ádha dhā́rayā mádhvā pṛcānás tiró róma pavate ádri-dugdhaḥ | índur índrasya sakhyáṃ juṣāṇó devó devásya matsaró mádāya ||
പിന്നെ മധുരാനന്ദത്തിന്റെ ധാരയുമായി കലർന്ന്, അദ്രി (പിഷാണശില)യിൽ നിന്ന് ദോഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ രോമം (ചാലന-വസ്ത്രം) മീതെ ഒഴുകുന്നു. ഇന്ദു ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ സഖ്യം സ്വീകരിച്ച്, ദേവന്റെ ദേവ-മത്സര (ദിവ്യ രോമാഞ്ചം) ആയി, ആനന്ദത്തിനായി പ്രേരക മദ (ഉന്മാദം) ആകുന്നു.
