नाभा पृथिव्या धरुणो महो दिवोऽपामूर्मौ सिन्धुष्वन्तरुक्षितः । इन्द्रस्य वज्रो वृषभो विभूवसुः सोमो हृदे पवते चारु मत्सरः ॥

Transliteration

nā́bhā pṛthivyā́ dharúṇo mahó divó ’pām ū́rmau síndhuṣv antár ukṣitáḥ | índrasya vājró vṛṣabhó vibhū́vasuḥ sómo hṛdé pavate cā́ru matsaráḥ ||

Translation

പൃഥിവിയുടെ നാഭിപോലെ, മഹാദ്യൗവിന്റെ ധരുണ (അചഞ്ചല ആധാരം)പോലെ, അപാം ഊർമി (ജലതരംഗം)യിൽ—സിന്ധുക്കളുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ സ്ഥിതനായി—സോമൻ ഒഴുക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ വജ്രം, ബലത്തിന്റെ വൃഷഭം, വിഭൂവസു (വിശാല സമ്പത്തുള്ളവൻ)—ആ ചാരു മത്സര (മധുര ഉല്ലാസം) ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ശുദ്ധിയായി ഒഴുകുന്നു.
