Soma, being poured on all sides, is asked to flow in purity and establish a wonderful wideness of life; in an undivided harmony Heaven and Earth are invoked; the gods are asked to give a wealth rich in heroic force.
As the delight-principle (Soma) is “poured” through the whole being, it purifies the consciousness and founds in us a vaster prāṇa (wideness of life) and a luminous harmony between higher mind (Heaven) and embodied nature (Earth). From that integral poise, the divine powers are invoked to install an inner prosperity—stable energies and capacities for courageous spiritual action (suvīra).
When delight is purified and made pervasive, life widens and harmonizes spirit and matter; from that unity arises a resilient, heroic abundance—power to act from truth rather than division.
Concluding prayer, Harmony of Heaven and Earth, Spiritual wealth (rayi), Heroic strength (su-vīra)
Pavamāna Soma hymns (Book 9) transmitted in specialized Soma-chanting lineages; the seer-identity is eclipsed by the liturgical and yogic function of Soma’s purification.
The anonymous ‘seer’ here represents a collective yogic seeing: the experience that purified delight widens life and reconciles the higher and lower hemispheres, yielding heroic abundance.
Soma is the flow of delight that, when filtered, becomes a truth-bearing force sustaining gods and worlds; Dyāvā-Pṛthivī are the cosmic parents whose harmony supports manifestation.
Ananda that purifies desire, expands prāṇa, and unifies mind and body in a single rhythm of ṛta; it empowers courageous, effective action aligned with truth.
Soma Pavamāna purification chants during Soma pressing and filtering (pavamāna-stotra context)

4 pādas of ~11 syllables each (triṣṭubh cadence; exact saṃhitā scansion may vary by sandhi)
Forward-driving, expansive; suited to declarations of widening and invocation.
Builds a sense of breadth and uplift; supports inner ‘opening’ (uru-bhāva) and steady invocation of harmonizing powers.
Concluding petition: as Soma is poured and purified, the sacrificers invoke Heaven-Earth and the gods for rayi and su-vīra—spiritual fullness and heroic capacities—typical of closing verses in Pavamāna sets.
During Soma extraction/filtration; recited/chaned to accompany the flowing Soma through the filter into the vessel.
Pouring and filtering Soma; invoking purity, wideness, and divine wealth.
Use as a meditation mantra for harmonizing ‘above and below’ (mind and body) and invoking courageous inner abundance during transitions or when seeking clarity and wideness.
pari-√sic ‘pour around’ marks infusion and pervasion. √pū/√pav ‘purify’ gives pavasva (imperative). advéṣa (a- + dveṣa) ‘non-hostility’ indicates harmonized duality. rayi is ‘plenitude’ (often misread as material wealth); su-vīra ‘good heroes’ indicates strong inner powers capable of sustaining the truth-force.
Adveṣa (non-division) as condition for harmony of worlds, Rayi as fullness of being, Vīrya as heroic force for inner victory
Purified Soma establishes movement in accord with ṛta—harmonizing dyauḥ and pṛthivī within the seeker.
Truth is approached through purification: delight becomes a clear, truth-bearing current rather than desire-mixed excitement.
Union of Heaven and Earth as the stable field where widened life and divine powers can manifest.
Proto-Vedāntic and integral-yogic reading (Aurobindo/Kashyap): Ananda as a fundamental plane enabling integral harmony.
The ‘pouring’ is the diffusion of delight through the sheaths; Heaven–Earth symbolize higher mind and physical nature brought into non-conflict (adveṣa) so life-force widens and becomes heroic.
Let purified delight pervade the whole being; establish harmony between ‘above’ (clarity/vision) and ‘below’ (body-life).
Anāhata (heart) and Ājñā (harmonizing higher guidance with embodied life)
Slow nasal breathing with a gentle ‘down-pouring’ on exhale (pervasion) and ‘widening’ on inhale (expansion).
From gathered clarity to expansive, integrated awareness (bṛhat-consciousness).
Begin with sensing the body as Earth and the quiet mind as Heaven; repeat the mantra to dissolve inner friction (adveṣa) and invite a steady heroic energy for right action (suvīra).
Default Vedic accenting applies (udātta/anudātta/svarita) per Śākala recension; precise svara for each syllable should be taken from a svara-marked text of RV 9.68.10.
Keep udātta syllables slightly raised and bright; allow svarita to glide downward; avoid flattening the cadence in triṣṭubh pādas.
Maintain clear retroflex in (pṛthivī) with ṛ, Do not over-assimilate in dyāvāpṛthivī—keep the compound legible, Hold long vowels: (so-ma) is long ‘o’; (pa-vas-va) crisp ‘v’, Articulate ṛ in (rayim) without turning it into ‘ri’
Clear, flowing, slightly sonorous; emphasize ‘pavasva’ as a purifying release.
