परि णो अश्वमश्वविद्गोमदिन्दो हिरण्यवत् । क्षरा सहस्रिणीरिषः ॥
Transliteration
pári no áśvam aśvavíd gómad indo híraṇyavat | kṣárā sahasríṇīr íṣaḥ ||
Translation
ഹേ ഇന്ദു (സോമ), ഞങ്ങളെയൊട്ടാകെ ചുറ്റി ഒഴുകുക; അശ്വവിദ്—അശ്വത്തെ ജയിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വേഗശക്തി കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നവനേ, ഗോമത്—പ്രകാശകിരണങ്ങൾ (ഗാവുകൾ) സമൃദ്ധനായവനേ, ഹിരണ്യവത്—സ്വർണ്ണതേജസ്സുള്ളവനേ. സഹസ്രഗുണമായ വർദ്ധനയുടെ ഇഷകൾ (പ്രേരണകൾ) ചൊരിയുക.
