तं वः सखायो मदाय पुनानमभि गायत । शिशुं न यज्ञैः स्वदयन्त गूर्तिभिः ॥
Transliteration
táṃ vaḥ sákhāyo mádāya punānám abhí gāyata | śíśuṃ ná yajñáir svádayanta gūrtíbhiḥ ||
Translation
സഖാക്കളേ, മദത്തിനായി സ്വയം-ശുദ്ധിയാകുന്ന അവനെ പാടി സ്തുതിക്കുവിൻ. യജ്ഞകർമ്മങ്ങളാലും നന്നായി രൂപപ്പെട്ട വാണി-ഉക്തികളാലും (ഗൂർത്തി), ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ അവനെ രസമധുരനാക്കുവിൻ.
