Outer meaning

The beloved shining cows (rays) together acclaim Soma for exhilaration; the gleaming ones press forward. The purifying Soma-drops make the paths.

Inner meaning

The ‘cows’ are rays of knowledge (go), dear to the soul, who rejoice in the Soma-ecstasy (mada). The shining energies (ghṛṣvayaḥ) are the luminous powers of the being pressing toward realization. As Soma-powers clarify themselves (pavamānāsa indavaḥ), they carve and open inner pathways—channels of ascent and movement for consciousness.

Universal truth

When knowledge-rays awaken and delight is purified, new pathways appear in life: clarity makes progress possible, and joy energizes the journey.

Themes

Soma-ritual, Purification, Light-as-knowledge, Inner ascent via ‘paths’, Rita-ordering
