Sukta 8.66
त्वं नो अस्या अमतेरुत क्षुधोऽभिशस्तेरव स्पृधि । त्वं न ऊती तव चित्रया धिया शिक्षा शचिष्ठ गातुवित् ॥
tváṃ no asyā́ ámater utá kṣúdhó ’bhíśaster áva spṛdhi | tváṃ na ūtī́ táva citráyā dhiyā́ śíkṣā śacíṣṭha gātuvít ||
ഈ അമതി (അസഹായത/അജ്ഞാനം) യിൽ നിന്നും, ക്ഷുധാ (വിശപ്പ്) യിൽ നിന്നും, ശത്രുജന്യ അഭിശസ്തേ (ദുഷ്ടാരോപണം/ആക്രമക നിന്ദ) യിൽ നിന്നും ഞങ്ങളെ നീ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ. നീയേ നമ്മുടെ ഊതി (രക്ഷാ-സഹായം); ഹേ ശചിഷ്ഠ (അത്യന്തം നിപുണൻ), ഹേ ഗാതുവിത് (മാർഗ്ഗജ്ഞൻ), നിന്റെ ചിത്രയാ ധിയാ (ബഹുവർണ്ണ, തേജസ്സുള്ള ബുദ്ധി) കൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിക്ക—സത്യത്തിന്റെ ശരിയായ പഥത്തിലേക്ക് ഞങ്ങളുടെ സത്തയെ നയിക്ക.
