Sukta 8.27

Devata: Maruts, Viṣṇu, Aśvins, Pūṣan, and chiefly Indra (Vṛtrahan)

आ प्र यात मरुतो विष्णो अश्विना पूषन्माकीनया धिया । इन्द्र आ यातु प्रथमः सनिष्युभिर्वृषा यो वृत्रहा गृणे ॥

ā prá yāta maruto víṣṇo aśvínā pū́ṣan mākī́nayā dhiyā́ | índra ā yātu prathamáḥ saniṣyúbhir vṛ́ṣā yó vṛtrá-hā gṛṇé ||

മുന്നോട്ട് വരുവിൻ—ഹേ മരുതുകൾ, ഹേ വിഷ്ണു, ഹേ അശ്വിനികൾ, ഹേ പൂഷൻ—അഖണ്ഡവും അചോരവുമായ (അപഹരണമില്ലാത്ത) ധിയോടെ. ഇന്ദ്രൻ ആദ്യം വരട്ടെ വിജയാന്വേഷികളോടൊപ്പം—വൃഷഭൻ, തടസ്സത്തിന്റെ വൃത്രനെ ഹനിക്കുന്നവൻ—ഞങ്ങളുടെ സ്തുതിയിൽ ഗൃണിതനാകാൻ.
