Sukta 8.27
वयं तद्वः सम्राज आ वृणीमहे पुत्रो न बहुपाय्यम् । अश्याम तदादित्या जुह्वतो हविर्येन वस्योऽनशामहै ॥
vayáṃ tád vaḥ samrā́ja ā́ vṛṇīmahe putró ná bahu-pā́yyam | aśyā́ma tád ādityā́ júhvato havír yéna vásyo ’náśāmahai ||
ഹേ സമ്രാട് ശക്തികളേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു അതേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നു—പുത്രൻ ബഹു-രക്ഷകമായ സഹായം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതുപോലെ. ഹേ ആദിത്യരേ, ജുഹ്വയാൽ ഹവിസ് അർപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ അതിനെ പ്രാപിക്കട്ടെ; അതിലൂടെ കൂടുതൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠവും കൂടുതൽ ദീപ്തവുമായ കല്യാണത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പങ്കാളികളാകട്ടെ.
